(DS9: "Business as Usual") This character was only mentioned in dialogue. Vilix'pran's species was not revealed on the series. It seems that his species shorten their names when used in general conversation, as he was sometimes just called Pran. In "Business as Usual", Jake referred to Vilix'pran as Ensign Pran. Presumably, this was just a slip of the tongue, and Vilix'pran was still a Lieutenant. According to the script for "Apocalypse Rising", Vilix'pran's name was pronounced as "vih-LIX pran". [1]
