Polysexuality is when a person is attracted to multiple genders but not necessarily all genders. The difference between Polysexuality and Bisexuality is that, as opposed to the latter, Polysexuality includes genders that don't fit into the societal binary; such as Agender, Transgender, Genderqueer, Demigirl, Demiguy, Gender fluid, and other non-binary genders. For attraction to all and/or any gender, see Pansexuality.

  • Polysexuality refers to people who are attracted to more than one gender or sex but do not wish to identify as bisexual because it implies that there are only two binary genders or sexes. Polysexuals are those people sexually attracted to many different sorts of ideas and characteristics. Polysexuality should not be confused with pansexuality; pan meaning all, and poly meaning many, though not necessarily all. The term is sometimes confused for "polyamory," which is a term for relationships that are non-monogamous.
