The Oblivion Crusades, also known as the Otherspace Genocide, were a series of especially brutal military campaigns launched by the cult-turned-empire of the Charon. Rechristened as the Charon Dominion following the vanishing and resurgence of the Prophet of the Void, Sylar Xaga. The Oblivion Crusades began at some point before 1000 BBY with the Massacre of Hyrus, the first battle of the Dominion's first military operation, the Dawn Campaign, and concluded with the Decimation of Esolus, the final assault of the Verge Blitzkrieg.

In addition to the attack on all life and civilization in Otherspace, the Oblivion Crusades also included the Charon Civil War, the rise and departure of the heretical Charon sect known as the Void of Animus, and concluded with the Storming of the Hellmouth, where the Charon rebels escaped through the then-rediscovered location of the Great Collapse.
