Deirdre's sick with worry knowing she'll be called as a witness today. Liam introduces two new Polish workers to the factory girls, Kasia and Judy. Janice is unfriendly and rude to them and suggests to Joanne they might be illegal immigrants. Joanne's quick to defend them. David takes the witness stand but he comes across as cocky and insincere and fails to endear himself to the jury. Tracy's worried. The usher calls Deirdre to take the witness stand but she has a panic attack and says she can't go through with it. Ken tries to calm her down. Deirdre eventually stands up in court. She tries to lie for her daughter but it's obvious she's hiding the truth. The jury are unimpressed and Tracy's furious.
