Keese Swarms are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures. They can be found in The Swamp and in the Lost Woods. Keese Swarms consist of a leader followed by purple Keese that steadily decrease in size. Keese Swarms hide in pots or bushes, appearing and encircling Link only if the object in which they are hiding is destroyed. A Keese Swarm's path is determined by its leader, which remains a certain distance from Link; thus, if Link tries to move a significant distance quickly, he will run into the trailing purple Keese.

A Keese Swarm's path is determined by its leader, which remains a certain distance from Link; thus, if Link tries to move a significant distance quickly, he will run into the trailing purple Keese. To defeat a Keese Swarm in a single player game, the four Links must assume either the Long or Wide Formation, and have the purple Link attack with his sword while the Keese Swarm continues to circle the green Link on the other end of the line. Strangely, only the Link being encircled is vulnerable to damage from a Keese Swarm. A Roc's Feather can be used to jump over the trailing purple Keese, though the leader will not stop encircling Link, making true escape impossible until Link moves out of the area or defeats the leader. In a multiplayer game, all four Links will not be in formation, and a Link not being followed by the Keese Swarm must attack the leader. When a Keese Swarm is defeated, each member drops a small green Force Gem.
