An Entity of Type : owl:Thing, within Data Space : 134.155.108.49:8890 associated with source dataset(s)

The Alaska-class Superfreighter was the largest freighter at the time of its introduction. First built in 2534, it struggled to succeed in the already collapsing Human economy. By the end of the Human-Covenant War, there were only fifteen remaining, twelve of which were hidden from the Covenant within the Human sphere, and the final three were in Earth's orbit. Once the economy was partially reestablished, in 2560, the Alaska-class was put back into production, and by 2575, over 120 were active.

Next to a warship, the Alaska-class is one of the most coveted catches for a pirate or rebel ship. They normally carry large amounts of goods and can be refitted to act as great makeshift warships.
