abstract
  • His Grace Andreas, Count of Sichartshofen was the 73rd Governor-General of Greater Hulstria and former Chairman of the Faschistische Gewalt-Partei. The Count of Sichartshofen had previously served as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Greater Hulstria and Minister of Justice. Prior to national politics he had a storied career in law and ran his own practice. Andreas von Sichartshofen was assassinated on October 15th, 3150, by a terrorist (later identified as being a member of a rouge left-wing faction) during a political rally. A bomb exploded under the stage where Sichartshofen was delievering a speech before supporters. The Governor-General was declared dead at the scene. A regional administrator for Budenlar, including the Chief of Staff to Sichartshofen, and other staff members were killed in the blast. Minister of Defense Harald Krutemeier was in attendence but was not hurt; police suspect that he was also a target by the terrorists. The Crown Commissioner of Budenlar recieved injuries from the blast but recovered. It was later revealed that a member of the Labsburg Police Department with a troubled past was under employment by the terrorist agents to plant the bomb used to kill Sichartshofen and later tried to flee the country but was arrested by members of the National Police Bureau. The faction as a result of police investigation and numerous raids was destroyed either by members being killed or arrested by national police. Mara Peters would replace him as the acting Governor-General for the next two years before garnering her own term. The assassination was the first of its kind to occur in Greater Hulstria since the 2600s.
