Borellas were large dugong-like creatures found in the lakes of the western Deepwoods. They were among the most intelligent species in the Edgeworld, supposedly more so than even banderbears, and communicated through a complex language. Physically, Borellas were colossal creatures, several strides long, with three curving tusks protruding from their wide mouths. Hedgethorn Lammergyre referred to these creatures as "snagglemouths".
