Trivia
| - * Lucy Regent is the first DC character to be dubbed Supergirl, although she was only wearing a stunt costume with an S-Shield on her chest and had no superpowers. Another Super-Girl would appear a few years later, but would only be a mystically created construct, who briefly acquired powers similar to that of Superman. Superman's [[W:C:DC:Kara Zor-El

Synopsis
| - After Superboy jails a wealthy smuggler who owns a private zoo, he must somehow find homes for all the animals therein, or see them put to death.
- An unseen criminal, The Planner, helps Smallville mobsters pull off robberies safely by attacking Superboy’s senses. Eventually, the Teen of Steel learns of the plan, baits a trap for the Planner and his men, and apprehends them all.
- Queen Lucy of the Latin-American nation of Borgonia is spirited away to America by her guardian Elena, due to the evil Duke Norvello's attempts to keep her under his influence. She arrives in Smallville, where her superb athletic abilities and quick wit make her an outcast of sorts. But Clark Kent and then Superboy befriend her, and she appears as "Supergirl," doing stunts with Superboy at the athletic festival. Superboy finds himself falling in love with her, but, when she is kidnapped back to Borgonia by the Duke and locked in an iron mask, he goes to her rescue, frees her from the mask, and exposes Norvello’s perfidy to the populance. Even though Lucy wants to return to America with Superboy, her guardian Elena and Superboy convince her that she must remain in Borgonia and rule her people wisely. But Clark Kent still finds her on his mind for many days thereafter.
