The Hunter is the main interceptor used by the Geralic Federation Defense Force and just like the Damocles cruisers they have been used for quite some time now. Many consider them outdated and primitive, but their cheap price and low maintenance costs are the good reasons why they still form one of the Federations militarys backbones.

abstract
| - The Hunter is the main interceptor used by the Geralic Federation Defense Force and just like the Damocles cruisers they have been used for quite some time now. Many consider them outdated and primitive, but their cheap price and low maintenance costs are the good reasons why they still form one of the Federations militarys backbones. The Hunter was introduced during the late stages of the Geralic Civil War. Its main purpose at this time was to intercept small attack crafts, which were often crashed into the Fedrations capital ship, after the Federation had gained total dominance in space. The AA-guns were often not enough to stop those determined pilots, so the Hunter was send in to stop them. More than anything else, the Hunter represents the defensive nature of the Geralic military, it has only limited abilitys for dogfights and does not perform very well in atmosphere. They often stay near capital ships or space stations, protecting them from bombers or boarding craft.
