Shane (Japanese: シェーン Shēn,) otherwise known as Shane Summers (Japanese: サマーズシェーン Samāzu Shēn,) is the deuteragonist of Pokémon: Dreams and Adventures, and thus plays a major role in the development of the story. He, like his older brothers and rivals, Michael and Aries, is a Pokémon Trainer from Pallet Town in the Kanto region. Having been drawn to Pokémon due to the influence of his oldest brother, he would soon set out to join Michael and Aries in their Pokémon training journey as Michael and Aries' rival in the hopes of collecting Pokémon to befriend and battle alongside. Also like Michael and Aries, Shane was given his first Pokémon by Professor Oak, who also entrusted his dream of completing the Pokédex to Shane. Having been drawn to Pokémon due to the influence of his oldest brother, he would soon set out to join Michael and Aries in their Pokémon training journey as Michael and Aries' rival in the hopes of collecting Pokémon to befriend and battle alongside. Shane would later go on to challenge the eight Gym Leaders for their badges in order to become Champion of the Pokémon League at Indigo Plateau; as well as take on the evil crime syndicate, Team Rocket, for the sake of people and Pokémon alike. Like Michael and Aries, the author has chosen to keep information regarding Shane to a bare minimum in order to keep the story suspenseful for readers. Therefore, little else is known about Shane so far.
