abstract
  • The SS Tsiolkovsky (NCC-53911) was an Oberth-class vessel in service during the latter part of the 24th century. The Tsiolkovsky was commissioned in 2363 after being built at Baikonur Cosmodrome in Russia on Earth. In 2364, on a research mission observing a red star's collapse, the Tsiolkovsky crew were infected with a polywater intoxication, resulting in their deaths. The USS Enterprise-D found the Tsiokovsky listing, its crew dead, and were also infected. Under threat from a stellar core fragment, the Enterprise-D crew used the Tsiokovsky to push them away, saving the Enterprise-D but destroying the Tsiolkovsky in the process. (TNG: "The Naked Now")
