The Atmospheric Processing Plant is an automated industrial complex designed by Telian scientists to convert the atmosphere of an existing world into an atmosphere that will support Telian-based lifeforms. With a modular design, the majority of the mechanical components of the plant remain the same no matter the type of atmosphere on the host planet. The only element that requires customization is the conversion core, which serves as the matrix to initiate the conversion. With immense power requirements, most plants make use of two distinct fusion reactors to power them, one specifically for the conversion core, and the other, for the mechanical components of the plant, including the input and output of gases from the plant.

A specially designed gravity chute is used to land the Atmospheric Processing Plant onto the host planet, but once the plant has landed, it can no longer move back to orbit. These plants are normally carried to location aboard a Talia-at class ship.
