  • The Cash Shop has not been implemented as of Friday of August 14th, as the game is still in beta, but some players have predicted packs and cards for cash, which is very likely.
  • After the Cash Shop was introduced, it stayed consistantly the same image until the graphics overhaul of 5th March 2010. On that day, the Cash Shop was given a new look. Weirdly, it was called "CASH" instead of "CASH SHOP". This name problem was fixed shortly thereafter when on the 26th March 2010, the Cash Shop was renamed to the Boutique, where playfish cash items are sold. Playfish cash presently can be bought on the top right side of the screen, under the amount of playfish cash you have. But after recent changes, playfish cash was changed into "Pet Society Cash" for game-specific money.
  • The Cash Shop is the only thing in FlyFF that at any point requires money. Players can spend money to gain Gpotatoes, which can in turn be spent at the Cash Shop to gain ingame items. These items, although rarely game-critical, are often vital to obtaining powerful equipment. Most Cash Shop items can be sold for a large amount of penya.
  • The Cash Shop was introduced as a way to keep PokePlushies running. It is now used by purchasing Black Bottle Caps, which are each worth one US cent. Almost all cash shop adoptable costs 300 Black Bottle Caps(aka $BC), which means they each cost three US dollars. The purchase is made through PayPal, and on the first purchase the buyer receives a free Kuron egg. This Kuron egg only levels up through repeatedly buying increments of 300 $BC.
  • The Web Shop is a section of the Mabinogi website that lets you buy Partners, Pets, Character Cards, Premium Service, and numerous items for in-game use. The Web Shop can be found here.

NX Cash can be purchased using real money at department and convenience stores, or with a credit card. As MapleStory is a free game, the Cash Shop is Nexon's primary source of income from the game. Despite this, the Cash Shop remains completely optional, and it is possible to enjoy MapleStory without using the Cash Shop. In MapleStory: RED, the Cash Shop received an overhaul in it's interface to be larger than the previous 800 x 600 screen that re-sized with larger game screens, as Wizet began making MapleStory able to make the resolution larger.
