Sir Angus Newton Scott (11 April 1876 - 21 December 1958) was a chartered accountant and local politician. Born in Blackheath, he moved to Putney. Admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales In 1899 of which he became a fellow in 1920. He rose to be senior partner in Angus Scott and Co., charted accountants. Municipal Reform Party member of the London County Council representing Wandsworth, Putney 1922-34 and the City of London from 1934-41. Chairman 1932 – 1933: he was knighted in the 1932 Birthday Honours. A number of official roles, LCC and national government.
