Gin Lesl was a female Human who served as a commander in the Army of the Galactic Republic during the Great Galactic War. In the final stages of the conflict, Lesl led Republic forces in the battle for Dantooine, during which she employed a bounty hunter to work on behalf of the Republic. When the war came to an end with the Treaty of Coruscant, the bounty hunter, Braden, refused to follow Commander Lesl's withdrawal orders, forcing her to order an assault him with a concussive ordnance. Gin Lesl left Dantooine shortly thereafter and traveled to Coruscant, where she planned to meet with the Grand Master of the Jedi Order, Zym, after receiving an urgent message from him.
