| - Tech 2 Amphibious Tanks (except the Aeon Blaze ) are tougher than T2 heavy tanks, with the exception of the Aeon Obsidian, which has an excellent shield. Aside from being amphibious, the last unifying feature of all 4 tanks is their high speed. With a universal speed of 3.7, they are among the fastest land units in the game, making them excellent at pursuing fleeing targets and kiting. These tanks are otherwise quite variable in both price and the role they play on the battlefield, but all of them are useful units in the correct situation.

The UEF Riptide is by far more powerful than other UEF land units, also costing more - its cost and DPS more in line with an Obsidian or an Ilshavoh, as opposed to the Pillar - the UEF's Heavy Tank. While the Riptide is more expensive than these units, there is no doubt it is less powerful, so it should not be deployed blindly. The Riptide has the highest DPS of any UEF T2 land unit, however it suffers from extremely short range. The Cybran Wagner is the only one of the 4 amphibious tanks not to hover, instead crawling along the bottom. While this helps keep it concealed against opponents who do not have sonar, this leaves it exposed to submarines and torpedo launchers, its secondary torpedoes being all but useless in a fight with naval units. The Wagner compensates for this shortcoming with the highest DPS of any of the amphibious tanks- with two 50 DPS weapons, it is, like the Riptide for the UEF, the most powerful Cybran T2 land unit. The Aeon and Seraphim Amphibious tanks fulfil much the same role as one another - they are cheaper than their main T2 direct fire units and more mobile - allowing them to fulfil the role of skirmishing tanks early on, however as the Aeon Blaze has a longer range and higher rate of fire than the Seraphim Yenzyne, the Yenzyne is arguably the weakest of the four amphibious tanks in terms of firepower{ but not significantly less than the Blaze} , but still wins 1v1 against the Blaze due to it's extra 250 health.
