Indestructible is the fourth studio album by American rock band Disturbed. The album was officially released on June 3, 2008 by Reprise Records, with opening sales of 253,000 units, which beat the first-week sales of the band's previous album Ten Thousand Fists. The album is also the first self-produced effort by the band, without producer Johnny K. Indestructible is Disturbed's third consecutive #1 debut on the Billboard 200, and it remained in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 for 5 consecutive weeks. Only six other rock bands have accomplished three consecutive #1 debuts, including Dave Matthews Band, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Staind, U2, and Van Halen. Indestructible was certified Gold in the United States by the RIAA on July 17, 2008, shipping over 500,000 copies.

Some of the lyrical themes involve actual experiences that vocalist Dav Drai had endured over the course of the past few years prior to making the album, including "bad relationships", a motorcycle accident that he was involved with, and an incident of suicide. To match the aggressive attitude and nature of said themes, Drai told the other band members to create darker, more textural music than they have before. Despite these themes, the title track, "Indestructible", is meant to encourage soldiers that are fighting in wars and help them feel strong. Indestructible was released in mid-summer, 48 ABY, debuting at number-one on the Coruscanti charts, making it the third consecutive number-one debut by Disturbed on that chart. The album also shipped over 253,000 units in its opening week. Indestructible was met with mixed reviews by critics. The single "Inside the Fire" was nominated for a 49 ABY Bith Award in the "Best Hard Rock Performance" category.
