The Ancient was a CR70 corvette built on Corellia and purchased by the Utapau Security Force in order to supplement their outer defenses. Unlike most Utapau vessels, which had a command structure with Pau'ans at the top and Utai at the bottom, the Ancient was crewed entirely by Pau'ans. The corvette got its name from the Pau'an nickname "Ancients," a nickname earned by the species' longevity. Its captain was Wongata Kelvin, a quasi-religious Pau'an with an unorthodox approach to command.

The corvette was heavily modified by the Utapau Security Force, fitted with a longer base than the original CR70 design and laser turrets. The Ancient played a significant role in the Skirmish over Utapau, where it was tractored in by the 1337 N00B5 and taken over after it fought alongside the Republic frigate Ovation. Agreeing to help the 1337 N00B5 on the condition that they would free the Utapauan prisoners aboard a CIS frigate, Wongata ordered the Ancient to board the enemy frigate and liberate the hostages. To honor the selfless acts of the 1337 N00B5, Wongata offered his crew and his ship to the service of the 1337 N00B5 as the fulfillment of a life debt. Some time afterward, the ship's name was changed to Z0MG to meet the 1337-based naming convention standards of the gang. The ship would appear in many battles afterward, serving as the 1337 N00B5' most veteran corvette, which could board and storm enemy buildings and capital ships and hold its own against enemy starfighters very well.
