The Jedi academy of Ansion was an ancient facility constructed by Jedi Master Elriza Zordon to serve as a command center for the Order's operations in the regions of the galaxy threatened by the New Sith Empire. Serving as the meeting place of the Council of Ten Masters the Command Center linked Ansion with planets including Taris, Purpilia, Gratha, Botajef, Liaria, and Aquitar. When most of the Council fell into darkness and declared for the New Sith Empire, the Command Center on Ansion came under assault by Darth Repulsa's army of endless soldiers. The Jedi Rangers loyal to Master Zordon fought tirelessly to overthrow the Sith, eventually loosing the Command Center during the war.

Serving as the meeting place of the Council of Ten Masters the Command Center linked Ansion with planets including Taris, Purpilia, Gratha, Botajef, Liaria, and Aquitar. When most of the Council fell into darkness and declared for the New Sith Empire, the Command Center on Ansion came under assault by Darth Repulsa's army of endless soldiers. The Jedi Rangers loyal to Master Zordon fought tirelessly to overthrow the Sith, eventually loosing the Command Center during the war. Rebuilding the facility over time, the Command Center remained largely vacant aside from a droid staff and Master Zordon, who was stuck in a time warp and could only communicate with the galaxy via a plasma tube installed in the Command Center's main chamber. With Repulsa imprisoned and the other Dark Masters in hiding or suspended animation, the facility remained opened for centuries until Repulsa's release and subsequent regrouping of the Dark Masters in 13 BrS. Calling upon the modern Jedi Order for assistance, the Silent War was waged in complete secrecy across the northern region of the galactic disk between the Order's Jedi Shadows and the surviving Dark Masters and their armies. Ending with the death of Zordon and the vanquishing of the Dark Masters' armies, the Command Center fell empty once more until after the Clone Wars when it was reopened as a Ranger Academy under the reformed Jedi High Council. Rebuilding the facility and installing a governing council to oversee its operations, Jedi once more began to operate in the region and patrol against the darkness.
