Despite it being an earth based technique, its not weak against lightning natured attacks. It can be combined with other chakra modes, like Lightning Release Chakra Mode, affording them the diamond hard defense and strength with lightning fast reflexes and significant boosts in reaction time. Utilizing taijutsu in this state allows one to utilize Nintaijutsu.
