- Rune axes are purchasable from Perry's Chop-chop Shop located within the Woodcutting Guild in Great Kourend. It can also be obtained as a monster drop, as well as a common reward from Hard Treasure Trails. Players must have an Attack level of 40 to wield a rune axe as a weapon and a Woodcutting level of 41 to use a rune axe to chop down trees.
- A rune axe (sometimes referred to as a rune hatchet) is an axe which requires level 40 attack to wield. It is the best axe available in RuneScape Classic, and can be made from one runite bar at level 86 smithing, yielding 75 smithing experience. Like all woodcutting axes, it can be used to cut trees by players with any woodcutting level.
- The Rune Axe is dropped from the Prototype. It has 40 power, increases Magic by 3, and casts Curaga when used as an item. When the user attacks, the Rune Axe consumes 25 MP to deal an automatic critical hit, if the user has at least 25 MP.
- The rune hatchet is usable at lvl 41 woodcutting[1]
- The Rune Axe is the second best axe ingame, only inferior to the Dragon Axe. While it requires 40 Attack to wield, as all rune weapons do, it requires 41 Woodcutting to cut trees.
- A Rune axe is an axe that is stronger than the adamant axe. It requires 40 attack to wield. It is suspected to be about 25-35% faster than an adamant axe. It is mostly used for woodcutting, but it can be used in combat. It is the strongest axe available to free players. Players can make a rune axe with the smithing skill at level 86 using 1 rune bar, giving the player 75 smithing experience.
