When The Joinery under the viaduct on Coronation Street exploded during Peter Barlow's stag night, the Tram Driver of the tram heading towards the viaduct pressed a button to warn other trams about the incident and attempted to stop, but ended up derailing from the viaduct and crashing into the Corner Shop, with the other end of the carriage crashing into The Kabin. When police, ambulances and fire fighters arrived on the scene, they managed to get the driver from the wreckage still alive, and he was taken away in an ambulance.

The character's body is seen being removed from the scene in 8th December 2010 although isn't credited and it's unknown if it is Burroughs playing the role.
