This Action Research Team will clarify the role and relationship of UC and the nuclear labs that have designed every US made nuclear bomb. We will explore and address the negative impacts of the nuclear labs on the surrounding environment, indigenous peoples, and other communities. We hope to revitalize the dialogue about nuclear weapons research and to pressure the labs to comply with human rights, international treaties, and sustainability issues. This class will also collaborate with UCSC faculty, students at UCB and UCSB, along with other organizations. We will have lots of fun too!!!
