HistoryText
| - Jake Farrell was a high-ranking official within the United States government who was stationed at the Pentagon. As he was making a name and reputation for himself, Jake was disappointed to learn that his sister was dating the national hero, SuperPatriot. He feared that she would become a target for his enemies as well as end up being hurt by him.
The brief affair soon ended and Rebecca Farrell was pregnant, later giving birth to twin offspring whom she named Liberty & Justice. These siblings were kept secret from their father so as to prevent them from becoming targets, an idea that Jake put forward. He was then their sole father figure as the children grew up to become heroes themselves and when Rebecca later died, Jake basically raised the kids himself.
Jake’s government work led to him investigating the Covenant of the Sword, a global organization that seemed to be manipulating events all over the world. It was during this initial discovery of the Covenant that Jake became involved with SuperPatriot again, sending him on an ill-fated mission that saw the superhero becoming a pawn for the terrorist group and being sent on an assault upon the Pentagon.
When Liberty & Justice revealed themselves to their father, Jake was consumed by guilt over keeping them hidden from SuperPatriot. This led him to covertly aiding him during his war with the Covenant. It was later revealed that Rebecca was actually still alive and had been saved from death by becoming a high-ranking nanotech life-form of the group. Her presence was kept hidden from her children by all the players involved so that they did not upset the young heroes.
Jake Farrell kept himself involved in government work and frequently popped back into the life of SuperPatriot. He played on the hero’s altruistic nature in order to get Freak Force to perform missions for him, got involved during the Martian invasion of Earth and even played a part in getting SuperPatriot cleared for killing Baby Killer, the villain that had brutally murdered Liberty & Justice.

When the first A-wings entered service, Farrell transferred to an A-wing squadron. By the time of the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, he was considered to be among the best A-wing pilots, and so was chosen to fly with Green Squadron in the assault on the Imperial battlestation, the second Death Star. Participating in the starfighter attack on the Death Star's main reactor, Farrell followed the order of Gold Leader Lando Calrissian to break off his run and head for the surface of the station, drawing off some of the Imperial TIE fighters in pursuit.
