Nail-The-Trick is a mechanic introduced in Tony Hawk's Project 8 the trick, activated by pushing both analog sticks down, slows down time (in a similar fashion as focus), pans the camera to the player's feet and allows them to perform kick tricks by using both sticks as a way to control the skater's feet, switching to this mode also gives the player more air time, more variations were added in Tony Hawk's Proving Ground including Nail-The-Grab and Nail-The-Manual.
