abstract	Sava Barvel was a Human female and a short time member of 181st Imperial Fighter Group during the Galactic Civil War. She inherited all the piloting skills of her father, Vindoo Barvel and participated the Battle of Endor. Having lost many pilots during the battle Colonel Soontir Fel went through the battle records and discovered Barvel, taking her into his elite unit. When preparing to be moved to Brentaal IV with her squadronmates there was a decompression accident that landed Barvel and two other pilots to infirmary for nearly two months. During that time Rebels captured Fel and Turr Phennir became commander of the group. Phennir refused to take Barvel back to the unit when she was healed because their personal chemistries had never mixed well. Barvel had fallen from grace but she proudly resisted the temptation to ask her father to support her career. For several years she flew in escort duty with her specially modified TIE Interceptor. When she was on Borleias between assignments she was got completely off-guard when Rebel's launched their second attack against the planet. Since no one in the base had been aware of her piloting talents she was not called to protect the base from Rogue Squadron, but was instead woken up by a Rebel commando and captured. For the first days of her captivity she played mute until the same commando, who had captured her took a different interrogation approach. She found him attractive—and the other way around—but they held their feelings in check while working through the interrogation. She refused to defect but offered to reveal everything she knew if she would be allowed to live as a civilian on some Rebel-held planet. At first the request was denied and she was held as a prisoner of war for nearly two years. When she was held on Coruscant she was gradually granted more and more freedom while her physichal attraction to the Rebel commando turned into friendship and finally into love. She was happy with her civilian life but the ghost of her father always hung about her—she had not heard anything about him after her capture, during which he had been on Coruscant.
