HistoryText	Demona is a former Acolyte and current Offbeats member. Early history Ashlyn Sumral was abandoned on the streets at an early age because of her decidedly demonic appearance. She had green skin, flaming red hair, small horns, fangs, wings, a forked tail, the ability to breathe fire and she has heterochromia, making her right eye red. As a street urchin she was forced to scrounge up scraps and steal for a living. She became cold, acerbic, cynical and merciless due to her street life. Eventually she found her way to a church to find salvation, but was unfortunately driven out by the psychotic Jack T. Chick who tried to bash her head in with a cross. Eventually she was found by the Acolytes and was brought to Asteroid M in exchange for her services. Splitting away from the group However as time went by, Ashlyn, now going by the alias of Demona, realized that she didn't hate humanity . She decided to split off from the Acolytes, along with a group of others who agreed that humanity wasn't worth destroying. And thus the Offbeats were formed. The team decided to go against a superhero team in order to gain credibility. The Avengers were suggested but Demona pointed out that that plan was stupid as the Avengers had them outnumbered and that they should attack a weaker team like the Fantastic Four. The team ignored her. During the Avengers-Offbeats battle she lasted the longest, and succeeded in taking out Iron Man, Vision and Giant-Man. However she was downed in a sneak attack by the Scarlet Witch while distracted by Wasp. Like the rest of the team, she was sent to the Vault, but later escaped. Unlike the rest of the team, she opposed the idea of becoming a superhero group, but was overruled by the rest of the team. She is very solitary, keeping to herself most of the time and doesn't allow anyone she doesn't trust to use her real name, currently the only one she does trust is Sparky, due to their similar behavior. Dragonfly describes her as “A very angry young woman."
