TK-422 was a stormtrooper for the Galactic Domain. When he first became a stormtrooper aboard the Death Star, he had issues with the new equipment they were given. He could not see through the helmet’s visors, he was afraid the new blasters would overheat, and the armor would become a joke among their enemies. However, he never showed any signs of rebelling, and kept his complaints between him and his partner, TK-421. Although, he was mistakenly accused of taking off his helmet after his partner was caught without it. He and TK-422 were sentenced to solitary confinement.

  • TK-422 was a stormtrooper for the Galactic Domain. During their sentence, they were assigned to accompany Darth Vader as he raided Princess Leia’s ship, the Tantive IIVI. Shortly after, they learned that two droids had escaped to the planet below. TK-421 and TK-422 were assigned to search for the droids, however, they were only told to go to patrol Tatooine. They were never told why. They managed to pick the droids up during their patrol, in which they took them to the homestead for blue milk. However, they did not realize C-3PO and R2-D2 were the droids they were looking for, since the two were in disguise. They were never told why. After learning about the droids from Obi-Wan Kenobi, TK-422 made the connection, but did not bother to pursue the droids. TK-422 had suddenly realized who Obi-Wan was with and decided to go and thank Luke Skywalker for the blue milk. TK-422 returned to the Death Star with TK-421, where they finished their term of solitary confinement. Around the end of the sentence, Darth Vader appeared with Princess Leia and ordered the troopers to follow him. He took TK-422 and TK-421 to guard the recent arrival of the Millennium Falcon. He found the new station boring and would often make sarcastic comments about the "excitement" going on, which TK-421 never understood. Shortly after being stationed there, they heard a clamor on board. They went to investigate, only to find the ship empty. TK-422 decided to continue the search while TK-421 left to answer a call. TK-422 still could not find anything and decided to join TK-421, who was in a heated discussion with an advisor who could not hear him. TK-421 figured they put George back on duty and TK-422 decided to investigate. They journeyed throughout the entire station, before getting caught up in an attempt to rescue Leia. TK-422 and TK-421 tried to stop them from escaping, but failed as the prisoners reached the Millennium Falcon before them.
