Dark Poeta, commonly abbreviated as DP, is a group instance for players of level 48 and above. It is the first timed instance that the player will encounter in his/her journey, as well as one of the few pre-4.0 instances that employs a ranking system. As of the 4.5 update, S-rank runs are obsolete as the Rank A boss (>17k points & 1.30 - 1.59 hours left) will guarantee an S-rank drop. You also no longer require a Time Activation Stone to enter. As of the 4.7 update, completing the pre-entry quest is no longer required to enter the instance.

Inside, players battle their way through the many Balaur infesting the future version of Poeta and defeat minibosses / special monsters to accummulate points. After defeating the final boss, the grade of the 'hidden boss' will be calculated based on the amount of points and remaining time. Players will have 5 minutes to enter through the portal and defeat the bonus boss, with the countdown starting the moment Anuhart dies.
