Franz Marcks was born on August 29, 3134 as the son of Hans and Traudl Marcks. His father Hans was a dentist and worked full time to support his family. Franz grew up with one brother and two sisters but was able to go to university thanks to state funding. He studied political science at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies and after graduating he started to work as a journalist, covering politics for newspapers all across Dorvik. Learning from the mistakes and spins he covered he tried to work as spin doctor and worked for several centrist and right-wing parties.
