  • Based on this match alone, you wouldn't really know how much trouble Samus would be in once she eventually made it to the trainers. Though with round 1 alone, the trainers didn't really have their godslayer powers yet. I know I've overused the line about 80% being difficult to get to, but it really is. This contest was tailor-made for Kid and Guy to do well -- good rivalry, popular game on this site -- and Samus just wrecked them. A lot of people felt like Ridley would hold Samus down and potentially hold her back from her 1 on 1 strength, and maybe they would end up being right, but there was no indication that was possible after this match.
