The Barracuda-class Corvette is a light UNSC warship used for littoral and blue water patrol. The Barracuda is a lightly armed, high speed warship, designed to excel at high speed operations, such as littoral patrol, mine sweeping, anti-piracy operations, hit and run attacks, shipping protection and so on. For these missions, it has an armament consisting of a 30mm, high accuracy magnetic accelerator, capable of disabling similarly armoured and sized warships. It also has a secondary armament of 20 surface to surface attack missiles, capable of striking at ships at long range, skimming at low altitude across the sea.
