Ernst Frömming (February 4, 1911 – August 18, 1959) was a Luftwaffe officer during World War II, and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (). The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. He also commanded the Fallschirm-Pionier-Bataillon 1. During the Battle of Monte Cassino he managed to built a bridge across the Savio river which enabled the 1. Fallschirmjäger-Division to cross the river with its heavy weapons.
