However, when John-117 was tricked into freeing the Ur-Didact, 1753908 Dishonest Exception fell under the Ur-Didact's influence as he regained control of his Promethean constructs. Though 1753908 Dishonest Exception did not encounter the humans during the time that the Master Chief was on Requiem, when the Infinity returned there in early 2558 he began to actively defend the Shield World from the humans after a research team headed by Annette Darvinshire encountered him in a location codenamed "Apex".
