Mount Grace was an ancient volcano on Starns, one of the Battle Islands. In 1043 KF Mount Grace was about to errupt. Events like earthquakes, dying plants and acidified water preceded the catastrophe. Evumeimei Dingzai managed to divert the magma spirits to break through the surface at another place, under the Pebbled Sea. Thus the mountain itself didn't errupt, but it still rained ash and made life difficult on Starns for a while. Dedicate Rosethorn expresses disapproval at worshiping a goddess who let a man treat her so badly.

The mountain is named after the local goddess, Grace, who was left at the altar by her lover. She waited for him, creating beautiful forests and farmland so that he would have something to come back to, but he never came. Dedicate Rosethorn expresses disapproval at worshiping a goddess who let a man treat her so badly.
