| - The artisan dragon dagger is a dagger which can be wielded with 65 Attack. It is created by the player during the Dragonsmithing miniquest, which, among various other requirements, requires 95 Smithing to attempt, and can be smithed afterwards in the Dragonkin slave dungeon. Statistically, the artisan dragon dagger has considerably lower melee attack bonuses than the normal dragon counterpart, but has higher magic attack and defense bonuses as well as a higher strength bonus.

Unlike most artisan dragon weapons, it is more expensive than its normal dragon counterpart, the dragon dagger. This is because the artisan dagger is considered to be a lot more trouble to create and obtain than the normal dragon dagger, which is very cheap compared to other dragon weapons and generally easy to obtain for a weapon of its metal. Although it is not as common as its normal dragon variant, it is still a relatively common weapon seen in PvP for its special attack, balanced stats, and attack speed. Its special attack, Gouge, allows the player to attack instantly with the dagger with 30% increased accuracy but with 90% damage, and can be triggered quickly in the same fashion as the special attack of the granite maul. It takes up 30% of the special attack bar per usage, allowing 3 attacks with a full special bar. Because of this, it is used in PvP as a rushing weapon, with its special attack having damage output comparable to that of the dragon claws, where a player can hit 5 times in a row if they time their attacks correctly. Statistically, the artisan dragon dagger has considerably lower melee attack bonuses than the normal dragon counterpart, but has higher magic attack and defense bonuses as well as a higher strength bonus.
