- The quest starts with the revelation that some sheep have been infected with plague. The target of the quest is to herd the sick sheep, kill them and dispose of their remains to prevent the plague from spreading to the town.
- Note that the sheep have two bleats: one in capital letters and the other one lower cased. When directing them to the incinerator complex, if they baa in lower case, they will walk back to their initial area. An easy trick is to spam click the sheep so that it does not walk back to its initial area. Once all of the bones have been incinerated, head back to Halgrive and claim your reward of 3,000 coins (and expenses of 100 coins), and you are done with the quest.
- You need to be wearing protective clothing before you start, so buy a set of plague clothes (Protective trousers, jacket) for 100 coins from Doctor orbon inside the church. Now head to Farmer brumty's farm, north of East Ardougne, and pick up the Cattle prod from the ground.
- The Sheep Herder is a limited edition decoration on Farmville. It was originally released on the July 22, 2012 as part of the Ireland Event (2012), available to purchase from the market for with File:XP-icon.png experience gain.
