Brendan V. Sullivan, Jr., JD, is a Washington, D.C. based criminal defense attorney and a senior partner of the law firm Williams and Connolly LLP. Sullivan is most well known for the role he served, in the late 1980s, as defense counsel for disgraced United States Marines Lieutenant-Colonel Ollie North in the wake of the Iran-Contra scandal. He also has represented former Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Henry Cisneros, Walter A. Forbes, former chairman of Cendant Corporation, and a number of states against Microsoft. His peers and the media recognize Sullivan as one of the most respected trial lawyers in the United States, primarily for his defence of white collar criminals.
