People's Friend 3955; postmarked 1941; Bolero Dress. The back of the dress is cut in one piece and is joined to both the bolero and front bodice at the side seams. The front bodice, which is in contrasting material, is slightly gathered to the curved upper edge of the front skirt. There is a short slit opening down the front bodice from the neck edge. A collar of contrasting material trims the neck edge. The edges of the curved pockets of the bolero are bound with contrasting material. Both long and short sleeves are included in the pattern, with deep pointed cuffs of contrasting material to trim the latter. The dress is suitable for making up in silk, sating, crepe or fine wool.
