Green Solidarity is a split off from the defunct "Dranland Popular Party", and its founding members has their roots in the old Metzist revolutionary movements and labour unions. Though they do not consider themselves to be a Metzist party anymore, they do embrace some values of socialism. Lately, it has been seen with a distinct green profile which they have adopted as their main platform instead of the traditional left-wing one.
