The Silurian is a major division of the geologic timescale that extends from the end of the Ordovician period, about 443.7 ± 1.5 Ma (million years ago), to the beginning of the Devonian period, about 416.0 ± 2.8 Ma (ICS 2004). As with other geologic periods, the rock beds that define the period's start and end are well identified, but the exact dates are uncertain by 5-10 million years. The base of the Silurian is set at a major extinction event when 60% of marine species were wiped out. See Ordovician-Silurian extinction events.

  • The Silurian was a period in Earth's history. During the Silurian, the land was covered in deserts, inhabited only by huge insects, some of which were deadly. The atmosphere was high in carbon dioxide but had low levels of oxygen, due to which lifeforms from more modern time periods would be unable to survive in a Silurian environment for more than a matter of weeks at the most. Some areas of land in the Silurian were also volcanic, riddled with hidden sinkholes and plagued by seismic activity.
  • The Silurians, also known as Earth Reptiles, Eocenes, Psionosauropodomorpha, Homo Reptilicus and Homo reptilia were a species native to Earth that pre-dated humanity. Technologically advanced, they lived alongside their aquatic cousins, the Sea Devils. Unlike other species, Silurians showed an important intraspecific variation, with vast differentiation between breeds, such as the number of eyes, the formation of their pupils and the colour of their skin.
  • The Silurian time period (named after Silures - an ancient Celtic tribe that live on the territory of modern Wales) was the third time period of the Paleozoic Era. It lasted from 435 to 400 MYA, +/- 10 million years.

  • They are bipedal reptilianoids with a humanoid erect posture and bodies covered in scales. Their heads sport a five-pointed crest, a pair of long flaps on the sides, a pair of large eyes and a smaller third eye on the forehead. Their mouths seem toothless and appear more fish-like than reptile-like in appearance. They usually speak in deep, guttural voices.

The Silurian third eye is able to flash bright red lights that can stun, hypnotize or even kill. It also appears that they can control their technology using the third eye. Silurians are cold-blooded and need a hot environment for comfort. They are also way more resistant to cosmic rays radiation than Humans.
