Kilroy is the name of an Earth-like planet first settled by colonists from the United Republic of Earth in 701 N.E. It had virtually no native sentient lifeforms, though subsequently some members of variant human races, Keiki, Arvi, Horseheads, and Rikiari did settle on the same world along with "normal" humans. It later on was to be captured by and ruled by the Mantis Lords until the time of Jumpweb of the New Universe. As a newly independent planet, Kilroy was governed by remnants of the Mantis Lords and surviving elements of the Krypteia secret police, though the traditional racism of the Mantis Lords was officially abandoned, and the Solar Church of the Unconquered Sun was legalized after being outlawed for centuries under Mantis Lord rule.

- KILROY is an attempt by the US Army to combine man and machine into an elite soldier. Kilroy is a one-man fighting machine trained to counter Cobra's growing cybernetic armies. He is normally armed with a shotgun, compatible with an integrated targeting system. He is extremely strong and can lift almost twice his weight and carry it for many miles. He is quite courageous and almost impossible to talk down once in the heat of battle, but loyal to a fault. He is a soldier's soldier. Some members of high command wish the Joes had an army of Kilroys.
- Kilroy was the callsign for a number of Terran Confederation pilots. The callsign was probably a tribute to the WWII meme "Kilroy Was Here".
