Floueras gained their name not only from their adapted wing shape, which mimicked flower petals, and helped disguise the birds from predators, but also because of their tendencies to decorate their nests with flowers. Floueras usually give birth to only one chick in their lifetimes. Both parents care for the helpless baby.
