As of November 7, 2008, Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road has contributed between 1.6 and 1.7 billion ¥ in earnings for Square Enix. A sequel, Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road II, was announced at the 2009 Jump Fiesta in Tokyo.
