Simca Vau was a female Zeltron Jedi Padawan and later Jedi Commander before, during and after the Clone Wars. Apprenticed to Jedi Knight just before the First Battle of Geonosis, neither were aware of the assignment until a week after the opening conflict of the Clone Wars. Serving under her master as part of the 403rd Vanguard Legion, Vau proved herself a capable leader despite premonitions of leading her men to disaster, and was later elevated to Jedi Knight in the closing weeks of the war. Vau survived Order 66 and went into hiding on Kamino for ten years with her master and the remains of the 403rd, who had refused to follow the order and went AWOL with their leaders. She later fought in several major conflicts in galactic history, from the Galactic Civil War to the Yuuzhan Vong War.
