- Thracian Spartacus is born and raised a slave, and is sold to a Gladiator trainer. More slaves work in the Roman province of Libya. After being trained to kill for the arena, Spartacus rebels against his owners, leading the other slaves in his rebellion as well. The gladiator slaves take Capua and the surrounding districts. After that, they escape and their numbers swell because more and more slaves join them. The They make their way to southern Italy, where they will return to their homes.
- Interestingly Spartacus is also the name that Andy Zaltzman has bestowed upon his naughty bits, after said bits lead a group of gladiator-slaves in revolt against their Roman oppressors. Despite a plethora of evidence to the contrary, many still wonder if Stanley Kubrick's 1960 Hollywood epic of the same name was actually based on Zaltzman's junk. Andy has never publically commented on this, but once said "no smoke without a fire" and this would seem to fit the situation, albeit out of context. Fuck you Chris
