After Frank became the Punisher, Ray hired a sniper to Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson in order to frame Punisher for it, but Matt and Foggy managed to escape alive. Afterwards, Karen Page met with Ray and questioned him about him and his past with Punisher, but Punisher showed up and shot Ray in the head, killing Ray.
