  • Splash damage is a term used in StarCraft and StarCraft II to refer to damage taken by in the area surrounding a point of weapon impact. This damage is highest at the point of impact, and usually decreases the further the affected units are from that point. Splash damage is most effective versus large groups of weak units. Some attacks with splash damage may damage friendly units as well.
  • Splash damage can't be protected against (Catastrophic) and can't be Interrupted.
  • Splash Damage is damage caused by weapons with explosive capabilities. Splash damage works by a projectile, whether it be a tank shell, grenade, C4, etc., hitting and exploding on a solid object radiating damage in a rippling fashion outwards to those nearby. The damage weakens the further the player is away from the initial area of impact up to the point where no damage is received leaving the player unharmed.
  • Kill an enemy with a heavy weapon during the Campaign.
  • Splash Damage is a perk in Fallout: New Vegas.
  • Splash Damage is the term used to describe the properties of certain projectiles that have a large area of effect (AoE) due to their explosive properties. Such weapons can damage multiple robots at once, but their most useful feature is their ability to damage robots hiding behind cover (if they are near an opening and the missile explodes close enough). Splash damage will also ignore Écu and Écu like shields and damage the shielded robot. Splash Damage does not go through Ancile shields, however. Splash can sometimes go through thin walls.
  • File:Quake1.gif Splash Damage (occasionally referred to as Radius Damage) is a term that refers to refer to damage taken by players or objects in the area surrounding a point of weapon impact. Splash damage is most often dealt by explosive weapons such as Grenade Launchers and Rocket Launchers, and to a lesser extent the Plasma Gun from Quake 3 Arena. Splash Damage can also be caused by an explosion from a Radioactive Container. BFG10K in Quake 3 Arena is also unique for dealing splash damage, while BFG10K in Quake 2 and Dark Matter Gun in quake 4 cannot. __NOEDITSECTION__

Splash damage is a skill that can be used to damage multiple people with one shot, or to propel them through the air. It's a common strategy to fire at an enemy's feet with the Rocket Launcher, as a direct hit is not necessary with the large radius of splash damage. Damage dealt will lessen the further away the target is from the point of impact. In Quake 4, the setting for splash damage is slightly altered in id Tech 4 engine, direct hits will not deal extra splash damage, this applies to Grenade Launcher and Rocket Launcher. __NOEDITSECTION__

Missiles do not have splash and the term is confused with rockets. Missiles are tracking weapons such as the spirals. In most circumstances, any attack that causes a physical explosion will have Splash damage. The 'Splash' radius varies depending on the weapon. The following weapons are capable of dealing some degree of Splash Damage: * Pinata * Pin * Noricum * Orkan * Tulumbas * Zenit * Trident
