During the Octusi uprising on Blaudu Sextus, he caught Belok Rhal and his fellow Mandalorians massacring thousands of Octusi on camera. This caused Rhal to attack the reporters. In the assault, Tyl filmed Mahdi's murder at the hands of Rhal, as well as his subsequent rescue by Jedi Knights Sothais Saar and Avinoam Arelis. The images were sent out live over the HoloNet and threatened to spark revolts all throughout the Galactic rim.
